charted knitting pattern for a vintage style Leaf and Horseshoe Cable knit Drop-Shoulder Cardigan.

this is a charted pattern so you will need to be able to read knitting charts, or be willing to learn 😊 a key for all symbols used is provided.
this Cardigan is knit Bottom-up, flat in 6 separate pieces and then seamed together. Stitches are then picked up to knit the button band and collar. OPTIONAL - instructions provided for adding stabiliser fabric/petersham/grossgrain behind button bands
the pattern includes knitting charts for front left & right (mirrored), back, sleeve & neck shaping, for 9 sizes.
The horseshoe cable can be switched out for any 8 stitch cable pattern you prefer but please knit a swatch to see how this will affect sizing
view A features one 8 stitch cable along each side of the front on all sizes
View B includes an additional 4 stitch twist cable along each side of the button band (sizes 4-9 only)
Instructions for assembly and sizing are written.
instructions are provided for cropped length, extended cropped length (2cm longer for longer torsos), and longer lengths.

90cm chest to 130cm chest
this is a drop shoulder cardigan designed to have 15-20cm of ease across the chest.
gauge:
19 rows by 14 stitches = 10cm x 10cm in stockinette stitch
Yardage & yarn recommendation:
Elle Rodeo Chunky or similar
1-3 600g
4-6 700g
7-9 800g
166m per 100g/180yds per
needle sizes: 5mm & 6mm (or as needed to match gauge with chosen yarn)
you will also need a cable needle or smaller double pointed needle for cables
5 buttons for cropped length (more for longer lengths)
The pattern is provided in one complete PDF document with colour photos and charts - best for use on a tablet or laptop
Plus Additional print files without photos are provided so you can print all the charts out if preferred
