Custom Design Terms and Conditions
My payment of the booking deposit is my formal agreement to the terms and conditions & cancellation policy as set out below
By Paying the deposit, I am confirming that I am in agreement with the price(s) shown or quoted to me, and agree to pay these amounts in full.
Once I pay a deposit for this amount, I understand that I am responsible for paying the entire amount due.
I understand that any changes to the design may incur an additional cost or fee and I agree to pay and such costs or fees.
I understand that I cannot change my overall design or fabrics once the design has been confirmed and/or fabrics purchased. minor changes are acceptable and may still be accommodated depending on if these changes are possible, and may be charged accordingly.
If the contract is breached/canceled, I acknowledge and understand that I cannot receive a full refund for my deposit as this money goes toward fabrics, supplies, materials, pattern making (to which I have no claim), time spent sourcing fabrics, as well as reserving time on K F COUTURE's calendar specifically for my design which means other potential clients would be turned down for orders during this period, and it may not be possible to re-book an alternative client for your slot in the short time period.
I understand that no sketch services will be provided to me until my payment or deposit has been paid.
For custom orders, I agree to have the balance paid in full before my dress/garment will be couriered to me or collected.
I understand that the average dress/garment takes up to 4 months to produce after finalizing design and fabric options
I understand that there may be shade variations in colour choices due to computer monitor differences and availability in fabric required
I understand that each dress/garment is custom made with the measurements I provide and that gowns/garments are handmade, not mass-produced, so slight variations and minor imperfections are or can be expected.
I understand that my gown/garment is a custom creation and cannot be returned under any circumstances.
I understand that K F Couture Designs has the rights of ownership to the photos taken in the K F Couture studio and by paying the deposit, I am giving consent for K F Couture to publish the photos on any K F Couture social media platform(s), when and if they may choose to do so.
I understand that Any alterations/changes and/or courier costs will be billed to me accordingly.
I understand that Orders placed less than 16 Weeks before the required date, may incur a rush order fee of 20% of the quoted amount. Changing of the required date, after payment of the deposit, to an earlier date less than 16 weeks from the date of this invoice, and/or with less than 16 weeks notice, will incur a 30% rushed fee.
Rush orders are subject to approval and depend on the availability of fabrics and/or time.
Quotes on garments requiring imported fabrics may incur additional costs should import charges exceed our estimated amount.
I understand that if I cannot or will not pay my remaining balance within 7 working days of completion, that I forfeit my garment and deposit as the deposit has gone toward the cost of the materials and production of the garment.
I understand the garment will be sold to recover costs, labour and expenses after 7 working days have passed and the balance has not been settled. I will only be refunded based on the final resale value of the garment, as stated in the cancellation policy below.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
in the event of Wedding/Event or order cancellation, I understand that I am still responsible for full payment of the garment/merchandise.
Dress/garment information and instructions, that will aid in the resale of my garment/dress, will be given to me upon collection/delivery. (Pictures of the dress/garment on the mannequins can be supplied, if requested, for resale purposes)
I understand that, If I am not able to honor the agreement and settle the amount in full, the garment/dress will remain the property of K F Couture and will be sold as sample garment to recover costs. In this case, you will only be refunded based on the sale price of the dress, if and when sold.
If the dress is sold for less than the original quoted price, the shortfall and any provable advertising costs will be deducted from the deposit to recover the loss of income incurred to K F Couture. eg. R10 000 quoted price, with R5000 deposit received. order canceled/balance not settled and dress is sold as a sample at a 30% lower price (R7000).
Refund will be calculated as follows - R10 000-R7000 = R3000 (loss of income to K F Couture). R5000 (deposit) -R3000 (loss of income) = R2000. R2000 - R100 (provable advertising costs) = R1900 total refund
