Custom Designs - How does it work

 

Select the date of your event or wedding and pay a 50% deposit to book your slot.  We are only able to take a limited number of bookings each year, so slots are limited and strictly available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.

1. Once your booking is confirmed, we will get in touch with you to arrange a first appointment for your measurements.

What if I am in another country, or too far away from you for a physical appointement?

No worries!! If you are not able to come to us in the Mosselbay area, we will send through our complete measurements chart which will guide you on taking your measurements at home.  You will need a friend or relative to help you with this.

 

2. Once we have got your measurement, we will start on drafting a custom pattern for your design.  From this, we will make a basic 'toile' or 'mock-up' for fitting, to ensure the overall fit and design is correct, before starting on your actual dress.  Once the mock-up is ready, we will contact you to arrange an appointment to fit it.

But how does the design and fitting process work if i am in another country or too far away from you for a physical fitting?

No worries!! If you are not able to come to us in the Mosselbay area, we will ship the bodice and/or dress mock-up to you for a remote fitting, in the comfort of your home.  We will assist and guide you with adjustments remotely.  You may be required to ship the mock-up back to us, at your own expense.

Depending on how accurate the fit of the mock-up is/was, we may decide to do additional mockups.  Mock-ups are included in our pricing.

 

3.  Once we are satisfied with the design and fit of the mock-up, we will start on construction of your unique dress.  You will be notified when the dress is nearing completion and when you are required to pay the final amount due.  Once the dress is completed and the balance has been settled, you may come collect your dress from us OR your dress will be shipped off to you :)
